Jesus claim to be LORD is the WORD we choose to TRUST and OBEY.
I refuse to be enticed by the lure of democracy as offering "Christian" presidents, senators and congressmen who we can fully trust and obey to fulfill nationalistic idolatries and desires because we refuse to suffer in following a crucified messiah.
Voting is easy, dying daily is not.
Never confuse the "Christian WE" with an "American WE" or a "Kenyan WE"
I repent of my idolatry of earthly citizenship(s)
I refuse to presume or assume that Christian leaders or leaders who claim to be Christian have rightly interpreted The WORD of God and will seamlessly and properly use their position to rule rightly.
The politics of Jesus are a challenge that must be first lived in community and cannot be infused into a nation's day-to-day operations simply by voting in people who claim to be Christian or are the "most closely Evangelical option" as endorsed by your pastor or smartest theologian relative, friend, blogger or podcast.
